Freddie was born October 5th, 1955 to Manuel White Sanchez and Margarita Celaya Sanchez in Midland, Texas. He was called home to his loving Savior on April 9, 2021 at the age of 65.
Freddie was an amazing, hard working man full of faith and full of life. He married the love of his life, Ofelia Bernal, in Fort Stockton, Texas on November 17th 1979 and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage together. They built a wonderful life together in Odessa, Texas and raised 2 daughters, Lisa and Laci. Freddie worked for General Tire where he was the first Union President in Odessa until they closed and was then hired on with USW where he worked as a Staff Representative for 27 years and was officially retired on April 8th, 2021.
He enjoyed being outdoors with his roosters and farm animals, tending to his land from sun up till sun down. He worked so hard all his life to give his wife, children, and grandchildren the best life he could offer them. He was blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren that he loved tremendously. He was the best Teto to those babies. He had a heart of gold and lived an amazing life. He exuded such a beautiful light into this world and shared that with everyone that he came across. He was a man full of faith and love for God. He left this world after fighting such a hard battle, surrounded by family in the peace and comfort of his home. He leaves behind a legacy that many people will forever cherish.
Freddie is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Margarita Sanchez.
He is survived by his wife, Ofelia Sanchez; daughters, Lisa Ramirez and Laci Sanchez; his son in law Andrew Ramirez; four grandchildren, Julissa Ramirez, Mikayla Ramirez, Andrew Ramirez, and Eli Ramirez; his sisters, Alvina Lopez (Ector), Irene Ortega, Delfina Gonzalez (Hector), Delma Riojas (Saul) and brother Manuel Junior Sanchez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Funeral services will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Odessa on Friday, April 16, 2021 at noon. Pallbearers will include: Rudy Rodriguez, Ervey Pena, Hector Bermea, Martin A. Zuniga, Jay Flores, Steve Gonzalez, Vico Marquez, Raul Molinar. Burial follows at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
