Faynell Brown Parker was born May 9, 1930, in Teague, Texas, the daughter of E. T. and Iva Brown, and died in Dallas, Texas, May 31, 2020. She was married on August 26, 1950, to Herbert Parker and is survived by him and their three children; son, Bruce and wife, Sheri Parker, of Bedford, Texas; daughter, Christine Parker, of Tyler, Texas; son, Paul and wife, Julie Parker of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Bryan Parker of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary Salaz and husband, Taylor of Lehi, Utah, David Parker, wife, Jeni; and great-granddaughter, June Marie of Falls Church, Virginia.
Faynell was a graduate of Teague High andattended Tarleton College and Sam Houston College. She worked prior to marrying and devoted her life to her family as a wife and mother. She is known by her family and many friends as a loving, caring, compassionate, Christian woman. She was active in Park Cities Baptist church where she was a co-director of a Sunday School Department for 15 years and served in numerous committees and activities.
Because of current restrictions on gatherings, a family interment service is scheduled, and a memorial service will be planned when present health restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Dallas Shared Ministries.
