Did you know Faye? Please share your stories and photos, and help spread the word about this page!
A new star was added to the heavens on this day, November 4, 2018. Carolyn "Faye" Hoyle Benedetti's spirit and soul took flight. Born in a rural farming community of Vale, North Carolina, that setting was only a launching platform for all of the adventurous and exotic experiences that were forthcoming and all of her dreams she desired to come to fruition. Her entrepreneurial curiosity opened doors in the banking world in western North Carolina after graduating from high school. After leaving North Carolina with her family, her new home for many years would be in Morristown, Tennessee. Always striving to grow and learn, she ventured into radio broadcasting at WCRK. She hosted her own talk show called "Faye's Forum". Her poised and eloquently presentable self, opened up additional opportunities that lead her into a career of Finishing and Modeling. Many lives were touched by this graceful woman's knowledge and appreciation for the finishing touches in one's attire, table settings, or even the lady's approach to sitting, standing or walking. Recognizing a need in her community, Prestige Personnel was later established and men and women now had the guidance and expertise support in career preparation and job seeking skills. As though diversity was not already present, Faye's incredible culinary skills and creativity in the kitchen lead her down a most challenging path, a restaurateur. After many years of travelling abroad, especially the countryside of Italy and France where she and her late husband Carlo would enjoy extended stays, Faye would traverse the roads of the small farmhouse villages, knock on doors and visit with unknown strangers, now friends. She also took away recipes from these visits that later would become the menu for Tuscany il Ristorante, a gathering place for many years on Kingston Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. Faye's post retirement career was in real estate in Hilton Head Island, SC. She was affectionately known as "One a Day Faye" as she frequently found herself on the leader board. She enjoyed the balance between her mountain life and sea life. Many wonderful years were enjoyed in both settings as she had an incredible symbiotic relationship with nature and all of its grandeur.
These are but a few of the accomplishments that Faye, our mother, our sister, our aunt and our friend achieved. But more importantly, in this journey of life, what is more important is who we were versus what we did. Family and friends randomly commented on her personality, her character, her being. Unanimously, these kind and loving words were affectionately shared:
