Farlan " Kas" Dubarry of Marysville, WA passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 25th, 2022. He was born June 11th, 1926 to Fern and Viktor Dubarry in Twin Falls, Idaho. He attended schools in Seattle and joined the US Army at the age of 17. He proudly served his country in World War II in the 96th Division, landing in Okinawa in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He began his career at Continental Baking (Hostess) as a baker's assistant and worked his way up to plant superintendent. Kas had five children with his first wife Eleanor: Lynn, Roxanne, Dale, Brian and Mark. He married Virginia Long in 1974. He and Ginna spent thirty eight wonderful years together until her passing in 2012. He found love and friendship again with Barbara (Bobbie) Plancich- they were married in 2016 and remained happily together until her untimely passing a few months later. He is survived by his son Mark and daughter Roxanne, step children Skip Adams (Laurel) and Sandy Adams, Barb Jacobsen (Gary) and Jeri Quast (Paul); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. Kas retired in 1989 and moved back to Marysville, spending the rest of his life there. He was a long time member of the Salmon Bay Eagles Aerie #2141, American Legion Post 178 in Marysville and a faithful Mason of Crystal Lodge 122, serving as Worshipful Master in 2003. Kas took up bowling after retirement and enjoyed bowling in the local leagues. He bowled in numerous State Tournaments and ten National Tournaments. He looked forward to his weekly poker group, trips to Reno with his family and especially loved his little dog Cooper. He spent many many mornings having breakfast at Fanny's Restaurant in Marysville and his family would like to thank the staff for the kindness they always showed him. Kas was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Fern, brother Pete, sisters Carol and Faye, wives Eleanor, Virginia and Bobbie, children Lynn, Dale and Brian and grandson Rick Erdle. The funeral service for Kas will be held Wednesday, June 15th at 1pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave Marysville, WA 98270. He will be buried honorably in the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
