Fannie B. Lee McLellan, 98, passed away April 24, 2022 after an illness, at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. McLellan was born September 13, 1923 in Norwood, N.C. A daughter of the late Edgar T. Lee and Lura Shankle Lee. She was a graduate of McCall High School and The McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing, class of 1946, which is now McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, S.C.
She was employed by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Pee Dee District 1 by Florence County for 30 plus years. The last 18 in Home Health Science.
She was married to the late O. Norfleet McLellan. She is survived by two children, O. Norfleet McLellan, Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Florence, and a daughter, Janet M. Rawls and her late husband Robin Scott Rawls of Savannah, with whom Mrs. McLellan has made her home for the past 9 years.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Millard Collins Lee, Ray Shankle, and Edgar T. Lee, sisters, Effie L. Brigman, Lura L. Pate, and Alice L. Brown. She is survived by many loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many decades, where she was married, taught and worshiped with her family.
