92, passed away November 29, 2022 at Independence Village South in Fishers. She was born August 31, 1930 in Ravenna, Ohio, she was the daughter of Joseph and Leta Chionchio and the youngest of four siblings. She graduated from Ravenna High School, and attended Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. In an accounting class, she caught the eye of fellow student Patrick J. Kilbane of Cleveland, Ohio. They fell in love, married May 12, 1956, and enjoyed 66 years together. Joanne and Patrick lived most of their lives in Indianapolis, where they also raised four sons.
During her work career, Joanne was employed at Kent State University, Union Bank of Commerce in Cleveland, Ohio, and Unified Underwriters in Indianapolis. As her sons entered their teen years, Joanne studied and became a licensed Realtor/Broker affiliated with A.H.M. Graves and F.C. Tucker real estate companies. She and Patrick also enjoyed spending winters in Venice, Florida, and traveling abroad. In addition, they organized and hosted several family reunions.
A Celebration of Life and funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with visitation beginning 30 minutes beforehand. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Patrick; sons, Kevin (Renee), Brian (Paula), Patrick (Molly) and Chris (Janet); 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Margaret (Al) Wysel, Josephine (Angelo) Battista and Matthew Chionchio.
