Everette E. "Ted" Cooke, 82, died Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Great Barrington, MA.
He was born in St. Albans, VT on July 16, 1939, the son of the late Everette Leland Cook and Kathryn Cooke. He was raised and educated in West Swanton, VT. He was a US Air Force veteran serving his country from 1956-1960.
Everette was a certified orthotist and was the owner of Cooke & Burnell Orthopedics in Pittsfield, MA for over 35 years before retiring 5 years ago.
He was an avid hunter and archer, reaching state championship level in archery at one time. He enjoyed dancing, country music and bowling. He also loved his Kabota tractors and working outdoors frequently helping others. He participated in softball and golf leagues for many years.
He is the beloved father of Terry (John) McAdams of Grandbury,TX, Todd A. Cooke of Pittsfield, MA and the late Pamela Langenvin; loving companion of Kathy Ebbert of Stephentown; father in law of Marc Langenvin of the Cayman Islands; grandfather of April Cooke, Heather White, Tyler Speelberg, Lilly Langenvin, Jake McAdams and Anna Mae McAdams; great grandfather of Lita McAdams; brother of Gale (late Robert) Lucier of Swanton, VT and the late Charlotte LaBerge, Shirley Wright and Elizabeth Lavalette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, November 13th at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall, 732 US Route 20, New Lebanon, NY.
