Everett Lewis Stump

Everett Lewis Stump, of Pinehurst, NC, and formerly of Salem, VA, went to be with the Lord peacefully on December 13, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Roanoke County, Everett was born on May 15, 1935. He was the son of Oscar and Gertrude Williams Stump. Everett worked for GE for 35 years, but his true passion was his garden. He cultivated beautiful flower beds and grew a wide variety of vegetables. Everett was a man of strong faith and a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Salem, VA.

In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his son, Everett Lewis Stump, Jr., daughter, Sherry Darlene Stump, and brother, Jackson "Jackie" Stump. Everett was the loving husband of Affie Pentecost Stump for 68 years and the father of Brian Duane Stump. He is survived by his granddaughters, Lynette Sanborn (Brett), Kayla Leftwich (Neil), and Amber Stump. Great-grandchildren, Liam, Ilona, Kaydy, Alyssa, Bre, Zara, King, Isaiah, Lena, and Osias. As well as great-great-grandchildren, Skylar and Alani.

A memorial service will be held at Church of Christ in Salem, VA at a later date.
