Everett Brooks Hardy, 60, transitioned on May 30, 2022. He was born May 14, 1962, in Asheville NC, the son of Mary E. Hardy and the late Henry and Emma Hardy.
Everett was a graduate of Asheville High School, Class of 1980. Following high school, he attended Gardner Webb University and North Carolina Central University.
Everett had a love for God, with a very charming personality and enjoyed debating and philosophizing. He also enjoyed traveling, playing the saxophone, and spending time with family and friends.
Everett was preceded in death by Louis and Esther Rice, Henry and Emma Hardy, uncles and aunts, Kenneth Rice, Ruby Jones, Esther Hardy, Johnetta Hardy, Lillian Rice Jones (Roberta), Robert and Helen Grant, Fannie Mae Lindsey (Polly); his best friend/cousin, Harold Jones (Papoose); father figures, Boid Buie and Chuck Thorpe.
Surviving family in addition to his mother include sister, Catherine Howard; uncle, Louis Rice, Jr; nieces and nephews, Nija’ Jeter, Raheem Howard, Kevin Morrison, Tika Greene, Shakira Allen; great nieces and nephews, Nylah, Kason, Melodi, Khari; aunts and uncles, Lillian Butler (Harvey), Robert Hardy, Betty White (Yvette), Krista Hardy, Keith Davis, and Catherine Kinnard; numerous cousins and childhood friends including William Smith (Billy) and Charone Morgan.
Rest in Peace Everett you are greatly missed, your suffering is over.
Viewing and visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 pm Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm also in the chapel. The service will be live streamed on our website.
