Everett Paul Gauthier Jr., 75 of Beaufort, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be at Anderson Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5-7 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 beginning at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Beaufort National Cemetery with Military Honors on a later date.
Everett was born on April 7, 1946 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana the son of the late Everett Paul Sr. and Margaret Burton Gauthier. He later married the love of his life, Madeline Blanchard. Everett was an acclaimed bird photographer who enjoyed taking pictures across many Low Country destinations. His work focused on birds in action where the goal was to capture these extraordinary creatures going about their everyday lives. His other passions included surf fishing at Grand Isle and hunting & fishing in the bayous and spillways.
Everett was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. For his honorable service, he earned: a National Defense Service Medal--Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Ribbon with Fleet Marine Force combat insignia and two bronze stars, and Vietnam Campaign Medal with device.
Survivors include: his wife: Madeline Gauthier; sons: Everett Gauthier III (spouse Nathalie) and Philippe Gauthier; daughter: Lindsay Gauthier (spouse Kyle Stack); grandchildren: Samual Gauthier, Cedric Gauthier, Jazlyn Pitman, Loic Gauthier, Augustan Gauthier, Briana Stack, Blair Stack, and Bradley Stack; brothers: Patrick Gauthier, David Gauthier; sisters: Margaret Ann Eilers, Paula Hardison, and Marie Arcement.
