Everado "Eddie" Rivera, born on July 15, 1962, to Augustin Rivera and Carlota Estrada Rivera. He passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024. He is survived by wife Sheila Gann Rivera of Seadrift, Texas and his daughters Marissa Galvan (Josh)of Victoria, Texas Melissa Rivera of Port Lavaca, Texas Karley Jordan of Victoria, Texas and stepdaughter Brittany Vaughn of Seadrift, Texas. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Eddie is also survived by his loving sisters, Lydia Rodriguez (Herbert) and Alice Romero (Ysidoro), and his brothers, Augie Rivera (Linda), and Jerry Rivera all from Seadrift, Texas and Richard Rivera (Marciel from the Philippines. Also, by nieces and nephews who thought a lot of their Uncle Eddie. by his dog that he loved so much Pancho Rivera. He is proceeded in by death by his mom Carlota Rivera and both sets of grandparents.
A dedicated family man, Fast Eddie's legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. He was a source of strength and inspiration, and his memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Eddie was one of kind so full of life and a hard worker and loved his Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm heart, and let's not forget his saying "Shoot It". Eddie will be laid to rest with a service celebrating his life, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews Mario Rodriguez, Ysidoro Romero Jr., Austen Rivera, Drew Rivera, Carl Rivera, and John Rivera. Visitation will begin Wednesday October 23, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Victoria with a Chapel Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Seadrift Cemetery in Seadrift, Texas.
