In Meriden, October 25, 2021, Evelynn "Evie" (Matazzaro) Henriques, 90 of Cheshire passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Wife of the late Constantine Henriques, the love of her life. Loving mother of Richard Henriques of Meriden and Robyn Wasko of New Hartford, sister of Rose M. Munson of South Carolina. Also, survived by her 6 cherished grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She treasured her family time at Sebec Lake in Maine, childhood memories at Lighthouse Point, New Haven and, Sunday dinners with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, entertaining, reading, playing cards, bowling, and Broadway. A proud member of the Cheshire Senior Center, Evie took pride in running the children's table for the Christmas Bazaars, organizing trips, and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Predeceased by her sister Anne B. Quinn, and her devoted nephew Richard Quinn both of Hamden. Evelynn was born in New Haven on March 25, 1931 daughter of the late John and Mary (DeRosa) Matazzaro. She graduated from Commercial High School New Haven, CT. Prior to her retirement she was employed by FCD Corp. as a secretary where she made many lifelong friends. Graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Cheshire on Friday Nov. 26th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to Sebec Lake Association P.O. Box 303 Dover-Foxcroft, Maine 04426.
