Evelyn Ann Harhai, 87, of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Born in United, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1933, she was the oldest daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Ondrejko) Polcha.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of almost 67 years, Andy Harhai; sister, Delores Stahl; and brother, Robert. She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Darling of Wilson, NC, Debbie Harhai of San Antonio, TX, Denise (Dean Schloyer) Harhai of Hendersonville, NC, and Doreen (Danny) Harrison of Spanish Fort, AL; five grandsons, Austin (Christina) Morgan of Fairhope, AL, Alec Morgan of Hoboken, NJ, Logan Morgan of Mobile, AL, Delane (Jackie) Harrison of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Clint (Dusty) Harrison of Breaux Bridge, LA; five great grandchildren; sister, Lois Jean Mewherter; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was an avid sports fan of The University of Alabama and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She had a passion for sewing, traveling, reading, and cooking. Evelyn also enjoyed golfing and was a long-time member of the Vanity Fair Golf Club Ladies Golfing Association. As co-owner with her husband, Andy, she managed Monroeville Aviation and Avionics Center for over 25 years. For many years, Evelyn was a volunteer for the Monroe County Courthouse Museum and especially enjoyed working during the "To Kill a Mockingbird" play season.
Evelyn was a member of the Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church in Spanish Fort, AL and a previous member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Monroeville, AL for over 45 years.

A private burial was held at the Alabama State Veteran's Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL on Friday, April 30, 2021.
