Evelyn A. Cyr, 75, beloved wife of Richard J. Cyr, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on December 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Moreau. Evelyn had resided in Meriden all of her life and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was formerly the Vice President of French Model Council Club of New Britain. Evelyn was a crossing guard for Meriden Public Schools for many years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cherie Jandreau and her husband Peter, her son, Frank Forbotnick and stepson, Todd Cyr; ten grandchildren, Cody and his wife Jillian, Collin and his wife Jennica, Conner, Daniel, Cara, Frankie, Cheyane and fianc? Stan, Brittany and Edwin, Anthony and Stephanie, nine great-grandchildren, and her brother, Howard Moreau and his wife Clarice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Forbotnick and her sister, Claire Robinson.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 31st from 9 to 10 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
