An online memorial for our Mama Evans. Please share your stories and photos of Mama to keep her memory alive.
Evans Infante Malaya was born on November 22, 1956 in the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, Philippines to the late Jesus Infante and Josefina Inocentes. She moved to Manila to study dentistry at the University of the East. After becoming a dentist, she married Jose Adolfo "Zaldy" Malaya, whom she met at university. Together with Zaldy, she practiced dentistry for 25 years in Quezon City.
She was the proud mother of Milagros Evans "Gem-Gem" Malaya, Joseph Anthony "Jan-Jan" Malaya, and Joan Frances "Kimy" Malaya. She was the loving grandmother of Cale Anthony and Joseph Anthony Jr. "Joe Joe."
She was the dear sister of Nonoy Infante, Nilda Lozada, Judge Jaime Infante, Daisy Ogbac, Jorge Infante, Belen Annehed, Linda Infante, and Josue Infante.
Evans, along with Zaldy, studied nursing and they moved to the United States in 2007 to work as nurses. They lived in California and Texas until 2016, and returned home to the Philippines for their retirement.
She passed away at the age of 64 due to pneumonia on July 11, 2021, surrounded by family.
Evans was beautiful inside and out and had an incredible sense of style, a bright gorgeous smile. She was a caring sibling, a loving aunt, a special friend, her husband's sweetheart.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
