Eva Stevens of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 73.
Eva was born in Germany on April 24, 1948 to the late Herbert and Annelies Muenzberg Halbhuber. Eva met her husband, Vernon in Amberg, Germany. After their courtship, they married on December 22, 1967. Eva had a deep love for animals and had a heart for rescues. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, and polka music. Eva was a caring lady who loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva was most proud of her US Citizenship that she received in the mid 1990's.
She leaves behind her husband, Vernon of Fayetteville; Andrea Maness and her husband, Todd of Vass; her son, Brian Stevens and his wife, Shari of Delphos, OH; her brother, Joerg Halbhuber; her sisters, Ursula Oleson, Jutta Cotte-Halbhuber, and Susanne Halbhuber, all of Germany; her grandchildren, Erin Maness, Amanda Hoffman; her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Landyn, and Matthew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home-Aberdeen.
