Eunice Ann (Parker) Nelson, 97, of Swanzey, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Born in Keene, NH on January 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eunice (Hall) Parker.
Eunice grew up in Keene and graduated from Keene State College with a bachelor's in education. She taught home economics at Jaffrey High Schol for 4 years and then went on to obtain her real estate license and work at Curry Real Estate for over 10 years. In 1998, she retired after 15 years of cooking at Cedar Crest. She enjoyed making homemade jams and jellies, tending to her flower gardens, reading, sewing, and going camping and hiking. For many years, she was a food judge at the Cheshire Fair, and served on the costume committee at the Old Homestead Play in Swanzey Center.
She is survived by her son Douglas Nelson and wife Dayle of Swanzey; grandchildren Garrett Nelson and wife Elizabeth of Keene, Amanda Nelson Weglinski of Marlborough; great-grandchildren Brennon Nelson and McKenna Nelson. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Benjamin Nelson; daughter Leslie Nelson Haines; and brothers Richard Parker and Walter Parker Jr.
