Ethel Mozelle Roberts went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Mozelle was born at home in Millersview, Tx on February 28, 1934 to Opal and Johnie Robinson Sr. Most of her life she lived in San Angelo where she raised 3 children and managed a family business. In 1978, she married the love of her life Elder Ray "Buddy" Roberts . They enjoyed dancing together so much that they joined the Concho Valley Area Square Dance Association, where they remained members for a number of years. They moved to a farm south of San Angelo where they eventually sold the business.
In retirement Mozelle raised and sold chickens and goats along with Champion Australian Shepherds. She had a large garden in which she liked to cook and pickle from. For years she enjoyed meeting family and friends for weekly dinners at a local Mexican restaurant. Mozelle thoroughly enjoyed organizing and hosting the annual family Christmas party, consistently bringing the extended families together for almost 15 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 29 years Buddy Roberts, son Bobby Weston, brothers Edwin and Johnie and sisters Mildred and Linda.
She is survived by her son Terry Burchers, daughter Teresa Alexander and husband Greg, as well as 5 step children. Her sister Louise Parker and husband Lanny. Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Closed Casket Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel in San Angelo, Tx. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial garden. For those who wish to say their personal goodbyes, Mozelle will be lying in state Wednesday November 10th and Thursday November 11th from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at Johnson's funeral home.
