Ester Vesseron Garza, age 98, passed away on December 8, 2021. She spent most of her life in Brownsville, Texas where she was born on September 27, 1923 to Luis and Ester Vesseron.
In the wake of the Korean War Ester had one of the hardest jobs that could be had - that of a single mother. She lost her beloved husband, Osbaldo Garza, in the Korean conflict.
Despite the hardships she faced she had the world's best smile, and a laugh that no one could forget once they heard it. She was a testament to strength and perseverance. And grace under the most difficult of circumstances.
Ester graduated from Villa Maria High School where she made life long friends. She loved a good party and dance, enjoyed going to the movies, and most of all there wasn't a casino trip she ever turned down.
She is preceded in death by her children Gloria Adamez and Osbaldo "Balo" Garza; as well as her husband Osbaldo.
She is survived by her grandson Carlos Adamez; her son-in-law Jesus Abel Adamez; her daughter-in-law Nancy Vermillion; numerous nieces and nephews; and anyone else lucky enough to know her.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
