Ernesto Ruiz went to be with the Lord Friday, February 12, 2021, at the age of 69. He was born November 10, 1951 to the late Erineo and Venilde Ruiz of Cuero, Texas. Ernesto married the love of his life, Linda Ruiz. He loved to fish, dance, go to the casinos, cook, and help-out in his community. He is retired from Dow and is also a United States Army Veteran where he was stationed in Fort Bliss Army Base, El Paso Texas, Fort Riley Army Base, Fort Riley, Kansas, and Ansbach Army Base in Ansbach, Germany. After his time in the Army, he moved to Yoakum, Texas. He also worked part time after his retirement at the Salvation Army in Victoria, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a family he loved dearly. Ernesto is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda Ruiz; children Monica Lee Ruiz, Jennifer Lee Meza (Sam), Alexander Scott Deleon (Samantha), and Ralph Cervantes; sister Rose Solis and 7 grandchildren, Brooklyn Deleon, Alayna Deleon, Brielle Campos, Jason Reyes, Layla Meza, Aaron Meza, and Tori Meza. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Danny Ruiz. Visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm at Angel Lucy's Funeral home, 706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901.
