Ernest E. Therrien, 91, passed away on August 24 2022 at North Adams Commons in North Adams. He was born on July 31 1931 in North Adams to parents Archie and Delina Therrien.
Ernest grew up in North Adams, MA. He attended St. Joe School in North Adams. Ernest began work at an early age to help support his family. He worked at General Electric and he retired in 1993 after 25 years.
Ernest married Mary Segala on July 29 1958 in North Adams. They were happily married for 64 years. Ernest was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Boston Red Sox, Saratoga Race course and most of all a diehard New England Patriots fan.
Ernest is survived by his spouse Mary of Florida, MA; His daughters Barbara Case and Tammy Moon (Rick); his Sons- Ernest Jr (Petra), Edward (Connie), Daniel and Timothy (Tracie) Therrien; His son in law Mike Boulger; His sisters- Lee Galeski and Rita Foote; His brothers- Arthur and Robert Therrien; sisters in law- Helen and Margaret Therrien; Peggy Stefanski and Jackie(Bill) Cote. He also leaves his Grandchildren Mike Boulger(Erika); Heather Holzchlag, Amanda Moon, Patricia Wincek (David); Edward Jr, Christopher (Julie), Andrea, Joseph and Allison Therrien, Jackie Linz (Brian) and Justin, Kenny and Kevin(Ashley) Case. His great-grandchildren Zachary, Haley, Taylor, Aubrie, Chloe, Curtis, and Cody Boulger, Brayden, Mason, Jhe'lana and Mia Therrien, Jesse, Andrew, Micah, Kambri, Lexi Case, and Jameson Holzchlag and Emilie and Patricia Wincek and he leaves many nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Delina, his sisters Doris Ryan and Clara Simon, his brothers Donald and Wilfred Therrien, and his beloved daughter Debra Boulger and grandson Chad Boulger. His sisters in law Shirley and Connie Therrien, Catherine Griswold, Angie Downs, Sr. Adele Ceccarelli, and Santina, Florence, and Adeline Segala. His brothers in law Bud Ryan, Joe Simon, Bernie Galeski, Albert Griswold, Mel Downs, Bud Stefanski, and John, Louis, Frank, Joe and Jack Segala.
Funeral services will be private. Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home ,74 Marshall St. North Adams is in charge of arrangements. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10am at St. Elizabeth of Hungry Church on Tuesday August 30,2022 and Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
