Ernest Bradley "Ernie" Berland, age 89, of Buffalo, Minnesota and formerly of Victor and Plentywood, MT passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022.
He was born in Lake Park, Minnesota on February 22, 1933 the son of Gotfred and Bertha (Skaare) Berland.
On August 25, 1954, Ernest B. Berland and Sally M. Tangen were joined in holy marriage in Hawley, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with three children. Ernie graduated from NDSS in Whapeton, ND, moved to Plentywood, MT in 1956, retired to Victor, MT in 2000, returned to MN in 2021. He honorably served his Country in The National Guard, and was employed many years in electronics/tv/cable.
Ernie's greatest passion was volunteering: Fire Dept, Plentywood School Board, the Lions Club and the Jaycees, Plentywood Church Choir, Boy Scouts, and Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, his morning walks, watching the Wildcats and the Griz, woodworking and even his daily chores of chopping wood, raking pine needled and pine cones and gardening. He also loved spending time with friends and family, story telling and sharing jokes and laughs.
Survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years: Sally M. Berland; 3 children and two special "sons"; 4 grandchildren; a special "granddaughter"; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by parents and eight siblings.
Per Ernie's wish no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for The Plentywood Lutheran Church and Habitat for Humanity- Ravalli County.
