The life of Erma Robinson Wyrick was cut short just shy of her 95th birthday, in Columbia, SC on June 21, 2022. Born July 12, 1927, in Dripping Springs, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Etta Volmering Robinson. She began work at Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator and retired after 47 yrs. She was known to sew clothes far and wide; there was not a baby born without a blanket lovingly made by her. Erma's kitchen never closed; her skills included birthday cakes, thousands of dozens of cookies, meals at a moment's notice, and many wedding cakes.
