Erika was someone that valued her family and always wanted to do what was right. She was studious and known as a cheerleader. She was loved by many and loved many as well.
WEST SALEM Erika D. Sheridan, 16, of West Salem, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in Wooster, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Truth Baptist Church in West Salem with Pastor Raymond Miller officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.Memorial contributions may be made to Northwestern Cheerleaders, 7473 N. Elyria Road, West Salem 44287; or Heather’s Studio, 323 W. High St., Orrville 44667.She was born May 1, 1987, in Wooster to Shawn and Julie (Smith) Sheridan.She was a junior at Northwestern High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader, member of National Honor Society, Northwestern Competition and All Star Cheerleading Team.Surviving are her parents of West Salem; two brothers, Shawn E. Sheridan and Ryan P. Sheridan of the home; grandparents, Robert and Judy Smith of West Salem and Gene and Pauline Sheridan of Ashland; and several uncles and aunts.Her great-grandparents died previously.
