Age 76, of Arden Hills passed away on June 09, 2022. Eric's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He graduated from Saint Anthony High School in 1964 where he was Class President. He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as a scoutmaster for his two sons. Eric was a proud Veteran of the US Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. While raising his children, Eric enjoyed coaching numerous youth sports teams. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2004 and loved spending time at his lake cabin in Longville, MN. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerilyn; daughter, Alicia (Robert) Crane; sons, Alan (Kendal Richard) Slindee, and Aaron (Angie) Slindee; grandchildren, Alex, Evan and Adrienne Crane, Teddy and Stella Slindee; sister Suzanne McMillan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Susan and Jeff Pease; nieces and nephews; and many other wonderful relatives and friends. There will be an informal Gathering for family and friends to celebrate Eric's life on Thursday, June 16th between 4pm and 7pm at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 7300 42nd Avenue North, New Hope.
