Eric Matthew Richter, 33, of Springfield, passed from this life February 19, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. Eric was born in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, to Ryan Edward Richter and Elaine Rene (Ekart) Richter on October 13, 1989.
Eric graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. He later went on to work at Brookline Doorworks in Springfield.
Eric married the love of his life, Erin Huff, on May 2, 2015. Through marriage, Eric gained Avery Cassidy as a daughter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ryan E. Richter; and grandparents, Edward and Norma Richter, and Tony Ekart.
Eric is survived by his wife, Erin Richter; step-daughter, Avery Cassidy; his mother, Elly Richter; sister, Kayla Wall; brother, Alex Richter; grandmother, Donna Ekart; nieces, Rowan Wall and Holland Fields; a nephew, Amaru Huff; extended family and friends.
Eric loved K-State football, the Kansas City Chiefs, but he especially loved being with Erin and Avery.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., in Springfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Association.
His care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
