Eric Eugene "Georgie" Bell, 69, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away, Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born Monday, March 28, 1955, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Lacey Humston Lockley and the late Suzanne B. Jackson.
Eric graduated from South Hagerstown High School and later graduated from Hagerstown Junior College and enjoyed always taking continuing education classes. He was veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed with the Department of Defense retiring in 2010, and was currently employed with H&R Block in Inwood, WV. Eric was a former member of the F&AM Prince Hall Masons of Maryland and the Sportsman's Club. He was a former board member and lifetime member of the Berkeley County Democratic Assn.
He and Bonnie loved to travel especially cruises. Eric loved many things, western movies, LA Chargers, grilling, going out to dinner on Thursdays, but more than anything he loved being with his family, and was Pap Pap to his wonderful grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Elizabeth Bell, daughter, Natacha L. Graham and husband Vershone, son, Wayne B. See and wife Marneda, daughter, Erika T. Bell, son, Jason R. McGill, sister, Tammy M. Fowlkes, sister, Deidre A. Jackson and husband George, sister, Roxy A. Jackson, brother, Lacey H, Lockley, Jr.,seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ryan L. Jackson, Pierre Lockley and Ronald Lockley and a sister, Sidney L. King
Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, with Apostle Sterling V. Porter III officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
