Emiko Yanagawa Mailloux was born November 30th, 1931 in Tokyo Japan. She married Arthur Mailloux who was in the Navy stationed near Tokyo and they moved to Peshastin Washington in 1953. She became a US citizen and loved raising her three sons in the USA.
The family moved to Warm Beach in 1964 where she lived for the rest of her life and loved working in her yard and gardens. After continuing her education Amy worked in the office at Twin City Foods in Stanwood for over forty years before retiring.
Mom was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of her flowers and nature and playing with them in Photoshop, printing her photos, creating cards and mixed media artwork. Music, ballet, art and especially pottery were some of her favorite interests. As she became less mobile, she took up Origami again and has left us with hundreds of pieces of her work.
She passed on July 25th, 2021 in her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her three sisters and their families in Japan, her three sons, Donald his wife Diana, David his wife Billie, Daniel his wife Lori, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
We miss you mom. You climbed the mountain and we are glad that you are free.
