Elwyn O. Mozingo (Moe) of Chambersburg, PA, died June 7, 2022 at Waynesboro Hospital. Born January 15, 1933, in Hagerstown, MD. He was the son of the late Paul O. and Irene Smith Mozingo.
Elwyn was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and was active in high school sports. He also played football for the Merchants, a local football team after high school.
He was employed by Pangborn Corp, Fairchild Aircraft and later 26 years at Mack Truck, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Mack Gold bulldogs, BPOE Elks of Hagerstown, MD, and Eagle Club Inc of Waynesboro, PA. Moe was also a member of the First Christian Church in Hagerstown, MD.
Elwyn is survived by his son Gregory and wife Sharon Mozingo of Chambersburg, PA, one grandson, Ryan Mozingo and wife Penny of Hagerstown, MD, two granddaughters, Erin Mozingo of Frederick, MD, Season and husband Matt Ciaverella of Greencastle, PA, two great grandchildren. Sister Suzane and husband Joe Vance, brother Charles Lee and wife Connie Mozingo, plus nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia (Peachie) Mozingo.
Services will be private.
