Elvira Gonzales Medina, 75, passed away in Monahans, Texas on Tuesday July 19, 2022. Elvira was born to Pablo and Emma Gonzales in Monahans.
Elvira was also raised in Monahans and graduated from Monahans High School in 1966. Elvira married Benigno Medina on May 6, 2003. She spent 24 years working for MWPISD as a custodian. Elvira loved to garden and travel and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic, a lifelong parishioner at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church.
Elvira is preceded in death by her father and mother Pablo and Emma Gonzales, her husband Benigno Medina, granddaughter Emma Malynn Pittman, and sister Elia Speakman.
She is survived by her son Joseph Garza and wife Arcelia, stepson Ruben Medina and wife Staci, daughters Larissa Pittman and husband Jason, Hilary Petree and husband Cory, sisters Jessie Vargas, Elidia Subia, Mary Russell, brother Manuel Gonzales, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
