Elva Joan Cosens , 83 Jun 8, 1937 - Aug 4, 2020 Elva Joan "Peachie" Cosens, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Born June 8, 1937 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Clementine (Croft) Voleneck. Peachie loved her family, playing Bingo and Squelch, going on cruises with her husband (they did 15 together), and she loved her cats which were mostly strays. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Reginald "Reggie" Cosens; two daughters, Joan Gillispie and husband Sam, Marlene Fisher and husband Rick; one son, Reggie Cosens and wife Val; one brother, Raymond "Jimmy" Voleneck; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peachie was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Kane; three brothers, Max, Russell, and Frank Voleneck; and two sisters, Christine Eversole and Esther Williams. The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 6 to 8pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1pm on Friday, August 7, 2020, with Pastor William Divelbiss officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
