Obituary
Elsie A. (Bazzolo) Rossi, 89, of Torrington, CT, passed away October 29, 2022, at Hartford Hospital.
Elsie was born September 1, 1933, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Ernest and Gilda (Ermogeni) Bazzolo. She was employed by Torin Corporation and Dymax Corporation in the office until her retirement. She loved to cook, bake, tend to her gardens, bowl, and golf. She volunteered at the Torrington Diabetes Center for twelve years.
She is survived by one son, Donald Rossi (Bonnie) and one daughter, Doreen Hricko (Joe) both of Torrington, CT; three grandchildren, Jason and Jillian Hricko, Catherine Rossi, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Bazzolo (Charlotte), Renzo Bazzolo (Louise) and her ex-husband Fred Rossi and her longtime companion, Tony Severi.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
