Elsie D. Landon, age 97, of Friendship, WI passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Adams, WI to Charles and Rose (Vana) Lysy on January 31, 1924. She attended Friendship Grade School and was a 1941 graduate of Adams-Friendship High School. After school Elsie was employed by Adams County Agricultural Office at the Court House from 1941- 1949. After 1949 she was employed by various other offices in the Court House. On October 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Harold Lloyd Landon. To this union was born one son, Leslie. Together they began a Bicycle Shop in 1960 at their home in Friendship, later building a Bike Shop on West 6th Street. Elsie provided piano and organ music for hundreds of weddings, funerals and social events in the area as well as serving as the organist for Friendship Congregational Bible Church. Elsie was a member of The Gideon's International and Western Fraternal Life Association. Elsie and Lloyd enjoyed bicycling, vegetable and flower gardening, and spending time at their "country home" together with their family. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and her brother, Richard Lysy. Survivors include her Son, Leslie (Patricia) Landon; granddaughter, Cynthia (Royce) Hazel and their children: Gavin and Zoe; grandson, Peter (Jessica) Landon and their children: Hannah (Aaron Tully), Riley, Jadyn, and Logan; grandson, Michael Landon, and his children: Crispin, Haiden, Desiree, and Korbin; and sister-in-law, Verla Lysy. The family will have a private graveside service and burial will be at Mount Repose Cemetery in Friendship. Roseberry's Funeral Home is assisting the family.
