Elnora Mae Hibbard, 81 years old of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest April 25, 2021 at the home of her daughter and her husband, Lorraine and Tom Westfall, after an illness. She was born March 18, 1940 in South Bend, the daughter of Roy C., Sr. and Doris Esther Christian (Bowman) Cooper and has been in this area most of her life. She had a career working for Nursing Homes, as an aide, then as a rehab tech and lastly in the laundry. She enjoyed her work very much.
She was married July 11, 1959 in South Bend, as Elnora M. Cooper to Thomas T. Hibbard and he preceded her in passing on Feb. 8, 2013. She is survived by her children; Valerie (Bob) Shively of North Liberty, IN, Anthony Hibbard of South Bend, Lorraine (Tom) Westfall of Edwardsburg, Tommy (Amber) Hibbard of South Bend and Terry Hibbard of Niles. There are 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Dorene Borowski of New Carlisle and Cynthia of Indiana, Roy C. Jr. of TX, and Clifford and Bill of South Bend. Family who preceded her in passing are her parents, her husband Thomas, a son Christopher Allen, daughter Brenda Brumitt of Niles, an infant sister Cheryl, sister Lillian another sister Karen Shaner and a brother George.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Hope United Methodist Church "Reese Hall", 69941 Elkhart Road, Edwardsburg from 3:00-5:00 PM. At 5:00 PM the Service of Remembrance will begin with Church Pastor Nate Starkey, officiating. Interment will follow at Adamsville Cemetery. Wearing a face mask and social distancing is required by all attending and will be enforced. Thank-You for understanding that these restrictions are being followed and enforced by the Church and the Funeral Home.
