Elmer Lee Singletary

Elmer Lee Singletary, 99, was born in Tampa Florida on April 13, 1925 and passed away July 7, 2024. He spent most of his childhood in Lakeland with his parents and eight siblings until he joined the Navy in 1942 at the age of seventeen. He served in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He returned to Tampa after the war where he met and married Colleen, his wife and love of his life, of seventy years. He also became a salesman for J.H. Williams Oil Company for over forty years during which he met and befriended many people. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, his eight grandchildren and their spouses. He is also survived by his twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way. Family, friends, and caring for others were always Elmer's passion.
