Elliot R. Ernest, age 90, of Venice, Florida, passed away on February 6, 2024. He was born on December 11, 1933 in Boston, MA. Elliot was the son and only child of Harry and Esther Gladstone Ernest. A retired Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the State College at Boston. Life Partner for 52 years of the late Dr. Wm. Kenney also a Professor of English at State College at Boston. Elliot was a resident in retirement at Hyannis, MA and Venice, FL since 2000.
A private service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Planned Parenthood-Sarasota Health Center, 736 Central Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236 or to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, Florida 34238.
