Elizabeth Royer Watson, 88 of Sabillasville passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her beloved family.
Born November 14, 1934, in Somerset, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Samuel T & Louise nee Gall Royer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Spencer Watson and a brother Dr. Carl Royer.
In her early years Elizabeth attended Thurmont High School, graduating in 1952 and continued her education at the Dickenson College where she earned a bachelor's degree in economics.
Elizabeth had a passion for the theatre, she enjoyed watching, acting, directing, and everything that went with it. So much so she was founded the Thurmont Thespians where she would use her passion to teach others especially youth about theatre. Staging numerous plays and musicals around Thurmont, while introducing others to the magic of theatre.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Thurmont, Thurmont Lions Club and was active in the Thurmont Senior Center.
Elizabeth will be fondly remembered by her children; son Edwin Carpenter (Jill); daughters Becky Carpenter, Mary Beth Johnson (Kurt); grandchildren Sarah, Emily, Rachel, Elijah, and Cadence; brother Samuel Royer III; sisters Rebecca Urian (John), and Pauline Stitely.
Graveside service will be held on FRIDAY December 9, 2022, at 2 PM at Brown's Cemetery: Manahan Road, Sabillasville, MD with Pastor Susan Beck officiating.
