Elizabeth A. Plum “Liz” on May 31, 2022 of Deptford. Age 64. Loving mother of George L. Plum (Lauren) of Deptford, Christopher C. Plum (Kristi) of Sewell and Elizabeth G. Plum (Bill) of Deptford. Devoted wife to George R. Plum of Deptford. Beloved sister of Lou Petrella (Debbie) of Whippany, NJ, Meg Skotnicki (Dan) of Deptford and Tom Petrella (Stephanie) of Newark, DE. Beloved sister-in-law to Erik C. Plum (Anita) of Williamstown and the late Richard A. Plum. Devoted grandmother of Fiona, Savannah, Michael and Sophia on the way. Cherished aunt of Danielle, Louis, Anna, Joseph, Gina and Christina.
Liz was the person that instantly lit up the room when she walked in. She had the ability to make everyone she talked to feel like they mattered most and would genuinely listen to every detail shared. Being with family and friends and celebrating life was her favorite thing to do. A celebration wasn’t complete without her Italian knot cookies, delicious vanilla cupcakes, and perfectly arranged flowers and her infectious smile.
Liz loved talking about our hometown sports teams and the celebrity awards shows. Her love for snowy days and Sunday with Sinatra was contagious and with every snowfall of the season we awaited a call or snow emoji. Liz was a long-time employee of Beautiful Blooms in Philadelphia. She made a lasting impression on the countless people she encountered daily and became very close with many of her co-workers, she considered them family.
Of all the things that she loved, spending time with her family was paramount. Family dinners were planned with special details specific to each family member. She would always be the last to finish a meal, because she kept the conversation going and always wanted to know what was going on in her children and grandchildren’s lives. Not only was it important for her to be at every event, she also had to create the perfect sign to honor the occasion. We never had to worry about forgetting a birthday. She was the one reminding each one of us who’s birthday was that day. There is so much more that we could say about our incredibly strong and loving Mother. She was such a unique and beautiful person inside and out. Her smile, laugh and genuine heart will forever illuminate all of our lives.
