Town of Steuben - Elizabeth "Liz" Beaupre, 79, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at her home where she had been lovingly taken care of for years by her devoted husband Roger as she battled Parkinson's Disease.
Born on November 4, 1942, in Rome, NY Liz is the daughter of the late Carroll and Elva (Reames) Freeman of North Western, NY. She married Roger Beaupre on September 1, 1962, and they enjoyed a life together for 59 years.
Liz loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were very special to her, and she was very proud of them and their accomplishments. She loved supporting and spoiling them. She was always available if her family or friends needed anything at all and was quick to step in and offer help. She also loved taking care of people and worked at the Rome Oneida County Hospital as a nurse's aide before having children. After fulfilling her role as a stay-at-home mom, she worked with disabled persons at Liberty Enterprises in Amsterdam, NY and as a school bus aide for disabled students. She was an active member of the Town of Florida Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed working in her garden and making jams and pickles, camping with her friends and family, and was gifted in making amazing craft creations out of any materials she could put her hands on. She and Roger loved to travel and took many trips to see the world together.
Liz is survived by her husband, Roger; her daughter, Rochelle and Wayne Beagle of Chittenango and their children, Kevin and Marie, David, and Sarah; and her son, Doug & Jennifer Beaupre of Westmoreland and their children, Tyler and Alexa.
