She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert James Foreman (Jim), her children: Linda Foreman Rolfes, Lisa Foreman Stewart and Suzanne Foreman Spradley; grandchildren: Sam Rolfes, Andy Rolfes, Kendall Stewart, Brooke Spradley, Bailey Spradley, Sarah Spradley, and Sydney Spradley; nephew: Bruce Henrici and his family; and niece: Jane Henrici Koch and her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents: Evelyn Kone Henrici and Herbert Henrici, her brother William (Bill) and sister-in-law Holice Henrici.
Betty was born on July 14, 1932, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her father taught her how to swim before she could walk. During her school years, she became proficient in the arts - mastering the accordion, water ballet, and ice skating while also working at her father's popular Tulsa community pool. Unbeknownst to Betty, her father taught her future husband how to swim when he was six years old.
After Betty graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1950, she went on to study at the University of Tulsa and finally the University of Arkansas. She was a campus leader in Chi Omega, Civic Club, AWS, Fashions and Etiquette Committee, Sigma Delta Pi, Mortar Board, Art Guild, Christian Science Organization, and the Commencement Committee. She graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Art with a minor in Math. While at Arkansas, she dated her lifetime sweetheart, Jim, and it was not long before they were a confirmed couple.
After graduation, she joined the Human Resources department at Foley's Department in Houston, Texas. She and Jim married in 1956 while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They settled in the Dallas area where Betty became Training Director at Sanger Harris while Jim attended SMU Law School.
Betty played an active role in all of her family's pursuits, leading Girls Scouts troops, cheering at sporting events, attending music concerts, and driving her daughters around the state to compete in horse shows. Betty supported Jim's law practice by working as a paralegal and office manager. She enjoyed party bridge with Jim, painting with oils and doting on her seven grandchildren. A dedicated Christian Scientist, Betty was active in church and in practicing Christian Science throughout her life. She was well known for her all-embracing love, uplifting spirit, peaceful mind, and beautiful smile. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 21, 2022, at Restland's Wildwood Chapel.
