Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Haugen, age 89 of Acworth, GA formerly of Ellijay passed on Sunday October 24th, 2021. She was born October 30th, 1931 to her late parents, John Thomas and Luella Catherine (Vatter) Greenall in Blairsville, PA. Mrs. Haugen was an elementary school teacher for the Cobb County School System until her retirement. Elizabeth was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church and also an avid quilter with the local quilting guild in Ellijay. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Thomas Greenall, II.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday November 13th, 2021 from the Hope Lutheran Church in Ellijay with Pastor David Smedley officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Hope Lutheran Church Columbarium.
Mrs. Haugen is survived by her husband of 68 years, Vernon Robert Haugen of Kennesaw, GA, children and spouses, Linda and Robert Fyfe of Kennesaw, Paul and Stephanie Haugen of Kennesaw, grandsons, Robert John Fyfe IV, John Thomas Haugen, Evan Thomas Fyfe and David Conner Haugen, great grandson, Cooper Vernon Haugen, extended family, the staff of Celebration Village and Agape Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Saturday November 13th, 2021 at the Hope Lutheran Church from 2:00pm until the service at 3:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice in memory of Mrs. Haugen. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.loganfuneralhome.com.
