On November 9th, 2022, Elizabeth "Betty" Banks-Graham passed away peacefully to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, in Greenville, TX after a long battle with cancer. She was 72 years old.
Betty is survived by her husband and the love of her life; Robert "Bobby" Graham, her children; Erik & Chris Gamblin, Frank & Allan Graham, Sara Hardy, and grandchildren; Annie, Abbie, Banner, Sloane, Micah, and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents; Max and Libby Banks who she loved and adored dearly.
Betty was born on February 16th, 1950, in Dallas Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to attend Texas Tech University where she graduated with a degree in management and later in life an accounting degree. She retired from working for the IRS after 30 years of service.
Betty met Bobby Graham in Junior High School and reconnected later in life when she moved back to Texas. They married and intertwined their lives and kids together like the "Brady Bunch".
Betty loved her family immensely and sacrificed selflessly for them. She was especially enamored with her grandchildren and spent most of her weekends with them. Betty was very blessed to have many lifelong friends that she made in grade school, college, and beyond. As an auditor for the IRS for 30 years she was feisty, strong willed, and loved problem solving.
A celebration of life for Betty is scheduled for 11 AM on Thursday November 17th at Lover's Lane United Methodist Church followed by a reception. The family asks that donations be sent to UT Southwestern Cancer Center via https://engage.utsouthwestern.edu/donate-now in lieu of flowers.
