Elizabeth Brown Degon, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 25, 2024 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on October 16, 1939 in Sanford, North Carolina to the late Robert Seymore & Margie Sloan Seymore.
Along with her parents, Elizabeth is reunited in passing with her son, Robert Gregory Brown.
Elizabeth was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold and a zest for life. While in Sanford, she was the proud owner and operator of Meat and Clever Restaurant where she loved her customers and made life-long friends. The restaurant industry was her life! Elizabeth had a giving and caring demeanor that made her a beacon of love in the community. She would genuinely offer the shirt from her back, to anyone in need. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed the peace and quiet with a good margarita. She relished time spent making memories with friends and found peace while sitting in her front porch rocking chair. Above all else, Elizabeth loved her family. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Elizabeth's memory are her adoring daughter, Elizabeth Lyn Brown and her family of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; as well as an army or friends, neighbors and patrons.
A Celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held privately at a later date.
