Elizabeth A. "Liz" Pulasky, 74, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday April 20th, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.
Liz was born in Pittsfield Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Peter Pulasky and Elizabeth (Collins) Pulasky. She attended Pittsfield schools and went on to graduate from Lebaron Hair Academy. Liz later pursued a career as a Nursing Assistant. She retired in 2018, after 30 years of dedicated service, from Craneville Place of Dalton.
Liz was a talented gardener and known for the gardens she kept at her previous home on Gale Ave. In both 2005 and 2015, she participated in the Pittsfield Hidden Heart Garden tours. Liz also enjoyed baking and her desserts were the highlight of each holiday and family get together.
She is survived by her loving companion of 35 years, William Guzzo Jr as well as her four children: Terry Foley, Tracy Dermody, Tina Wagner (Mike) and David "Mickey" Melle (Allison). Liz leaves behind her sisters Kathleen Brunell (Butch), Deborah Pulasky, and brother William Pulasky as well as ten grandchildren: Ana & Alaina Dermody - Lauren, Laci, Braedon, Rylan, and Leah Melle - Jackson, Mason, and Peyton Wagner - and William Guzzo IV. Liz will also be missed by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Peter, Robert, and Joseph Pulasky as well as her sisters Patricia Tierney and Barbara Holmes.
Funeral Notice:
Funeral services for Elizabeth A. "Liz" Pulasky will be Monday, April 25, 2022, with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. In lieu of flowers, donations in Liz's memory can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or the Sonsini Animal Shelter, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
