Elfrida Januskevicius, 90, formerly of Sunderland, Massachusetts, passed away in Manitou Springs, CO on Saturday, February 20 2021 surrounded by her daughters and loved ones. Elfrida emigrated to the United States from Lithuania in 1950. For most of her life she resided in Massachusetts, moving to Colorado in 2004. She was employed in the Dining Services at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for over 25 years, retiring as Head Cook of the Kosher Kitchen. She enjoyed arts and crafts and passed along her love for animals, gardening and music to her daughters. Elfrida loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kindness was her motto. She is survived by her four daughters; Donna Cowan of Williamsburg, MA, Elvira Markworth and her husband Joseph of Fort Collins, CO. with whom she lived for 16 years; Milda Powers of Lebanon, CT. and Kristina Reavis of Manitou Springs, CO. She is also survived by her son in law Richard Brunner of Lexington, SC, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren across the country. She was predeceased by her parents; Peter and Helen Jankauskas, her husband Peter, her daughter Laima Brunner and her brother Andrew "Heinz" Jankauskas. THE FAMILY WILL HOLD PRIVATE SERVICES ON SATURDAY, FEB. 28, 2021 AT WRISLEY FUNERAL HOME. A PRIVATE INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW IN BRIDGE STREET CEMETERY, NORTHAMPTON. Donations in Elfrida's memory may be made to Humane Society of the U.S. or your local animal shelter.
