Eleanor H. Cottrell, 89, passed away October 30, 2022 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH after a period of declining health.
She was born June 11, 1933 in Lee, NH, daughter of the late Nelson Demeritt and Marion (Bloom) Demeritt.
Eleanor grew up in Nottingham, NH. She resided for 50 years in Raymond where she raised her 3 children. Eleanor was formerly employed as a sales clerk at Raymond Drug and later did clerical work for Public Service of NH in Epping, NH. Eleanor lived in Manchester, NH for several years before going into the nursing home.
She was a member of the Congregational Church of Raymond, the Red Hatters, Ray-Fre Senior Center and the Raymond Historical Society.
Eleanor enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Goff, son, Lawrence Cottrell, son, Barry Cottrell, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
Burial will be in Lee Hill Cemetery, Lee, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
