Today we say goodbye to Eleanor K. Davidson, born Eleanor Randolph Kevan, July 8, 1941 in Montgomery Alabama, died June 24, 2021, Rexburg Idaho.
Eleanor was the daughter of William Parham Kevan and Eleanor Brower.
Eleanor was a sweet, intelligent and interesting person, who loved her kids and family and who always had a fun interesting story to tell. Most people who knew or met Eleanor loved her and were always surprised at her very powerful and precise memory for facts, dates and events. Though one of Eleanor's trials in this life in regards to her health brought its challenges, her vibrant, lovable and infectious personality always shone through brightly, even during her darkest moments.
Eleanor's almost childlike faith in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, was often the subject of conversation by people who knew her best. Eleanor was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, in Rexburg Idaho for about 11 years. Her faith was not grounded in denomination or sect, only in her Jesus, who she loved and spoke about with joy, often.
Though she never wrote a novel, Eleanor was a poet and was a gifted writer in general, a quality and interest that she passed down to her three sons. Her book of poetry brought much enjoyment to those fortunate enough to have read it.
In the last few years of her life, she settled in Rexburg, Idaho where she eventually lived in The Homestead Assisted Living facility. Eleanor made many friends in The Homestead, and lost some of them over the years. Her friends at The Homestead all miss her very much as well.
Eleanor is survived by her sons Matthew, Mark, and Luke, as well as her eight grandchildren?Claire, Mathias, Leah, Xavien, Joshua, Meadowyn, Elora, and Arya. She is also survived by and will be greatly missed by all, including her beloved lifetime friend, Judy Metcalf, of North Chesterfield, Va and her sister Nancy Lazaron, brothers Tommy and Jim Adkins and their families.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepfather, as well as her sister, Martha Adkins Butcher, Her Aunt Marie Spencer and her husband, Eugene V. Davidson.
Eleanor will be memorialized by friends and family in Petersburg, Va. Her ashes will be buried in the family plot at the Blanford Cemetary. Condolences may be submitted online at www.flammfh.com.
