Funeral services for Eleanor Bledsoe Cumbee, 90, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Historic B-L Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1186 Mt. Calvary Road, Johnston, SC 29832.
Mrs. Cumbee, wife of the late Harold H. Cumbee passed away Tuesday July 11, 2023. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Olivia Turner Bledsoe. Mrs. Cumbee was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, WELCA, a former choir member, and VBS Teacher. She loved to fish in the Edisto River and gardening.
Surviving are daughters, Eleanor "Jeanie" Lee (Arthur) and Brenda C. McKinney (Steven); brother, Otis N. Bledsoe; sister, Tammy Screws; grandchildren, Jessica L. Dunkerley (Chris), Tyler McKinney, Melanie Fellerman (Robert); and a great-grandchild, Fisher Dunkerley.
