Carson Parker, age 76, passed away on May 5th, 2022. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Carson was best known for his kindness and patience. He was born on April 29th, 1946 to the parents of Eldridge C Parker (Snow) and Ida Mae Proctor Parker (both deceased) in Milledgeville, Ga.
He grew up in Macon, Georgia and attended Willingham High School class of 1964. He attended Georgia Southwestern University in Americus Georgia and graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Southwestern.
Carson worked for the Georgia Power Company from 1970-1984 in Procurement and contracts in Atlanta Georgia. From1985-2017 he worked at Lockheed Martin in Marietta Georgia in purchasing and material operations.
He loved his family and spending time with them more than anything. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spots. He was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church in Marietta, Georgia. Carson served the U.S. Army Reserves from 1968-1975, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Woodstock.
Carson leaves a legacy of faith, love, and cherished memories to his loving wife Jean Baxter Parker of 53 years. His children Jennifer Parker Prewett (son in law Scott Prewett), Jason Carson Parker (daughter in law Shay Blakeslee Parker) and his five grandsons, Hayden Prewett (22), Carson Parker (16), Zachary Prewett (14), Jase Parker (9), and Davis Parker (9). His sister Sandra Parker Linder, brothers and sisters in law; Ronnie and Carol Headden, Susan and John Seling, Barney and Carolyn Baxter, Spencer and Liling Baxter, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 1 pm at Mountain View United Methodist Church followed by a reception at the same location. The family has requested flowers to be ordered through K. Mike Whittle Unique Floral Designs (770-499-1700).
