Elbert Webb, 92, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. The Greenbrier, TN native was a former employee of AVCO and Ford Motor Company, a WW II US Navy veteran and served on the USS Klondike, a farmer and avid horseman, member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as deacon, charter board member of the Cedar Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the Allen County Cattleman's Association. He was a son of the late Marion Lafayette Webb and Jetta Mae McMahon Webb Jones. He is survived by his wife: Mabel Webb, Scottsville, KY; 1 son: Marvin Elbert Webb and wife, Mary Louise, Greenbrier, TN; 3 grandchildren: Joshua James Webb (Kimberly Susan); Melanie Rachel Kie (Terry Glen) and Emily Patrisha Webb; 3 great grandchildren: Jeremiah Kie, Abigail Kie and Alyxandria Webb. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Ann Webb; 4 brothers: John S. Webb, Henry Grady Webb, Wayne Webb and Everett Webb. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Moran officiating and burial to follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Bethel Cemetery in Greenbrier, TN. Visitation will be 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. www.goadfh.com
